Financial Support

In 2006, Portal Industries received 65% of its revenue from the Ozaukee County Department of Human Services. Portal contracts with that local government agency to provide rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities and mental health concerns.

We have been able to provide about 20% of necessary operating revenue through our Industrial Services operation. This group seeks out work projects from area businesses that our participants can learn and safely perform with supervision.

In 2006, 8% of our revenue came from donations, fund raising events and interest income. 2% came to us from the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and the United Way of Northern Ozaukee, 3% from other programs and 1% from the Portal Industries Endowment Fund.
