In Your Facility, Consider Supported Employment

We have a significant number of Portal participants with the desire and motivation to work out in the community. Our Supported Employment Program is structured to match potential job candidates to your employment needs. We then provide "mentors" to help train, motivate and support successful job candidates and help educate your employees.

Here's how it works

We assess the skills, interests, abilities, needs and work availability of each of our job candidates.

We place candidates in work positions that best match their individual strengths and capabilities with the employer's needs and expectations.

We enhance the employer's training to help assure that the supported employee meets or exceeds the employer's expectations.

We maintain on–going support and job coaching to help assure successful employment.

We assist in awareness training to help coworkers understand and appreciate the nature of disabilities and how to interact with persons with disabilities.

You benefit from —

Employing highly motivated, enthusiastic workers that are dependable and eager to become a "team player." Because these individuals want to work, they typically demonstrate low absenteeism and high employer loyalty. In addition, federal tax credit is available to qualified businesses under the Work Opportunity Tax Credit.

To learn how your business can get involved and start realizing the benefits associated with employing persons with disabilities, give our Supported Employment Department a call at (262) 377–4410 and ask to speak with a SEP Job Developer.
